卡洛斯·马塞·帕泰利尼教授，大地测量学和地球物理工程师，1975年至今在阿根廷海军水文学事务处海洋学部海洋地质和地球物理司国防武装部队任职业研究与发展科学研究员，2012年6月当选大陆架界限委员会委员。研究领域主要包括海洋地球物理学、海洋测量、航空电磁勘测等。曾任首席科学家并参加共20多次海洋地质调查航次，合作机构包括阿根廷南极洲协会、Lamont-Doherty地质观察站、美国海军研究实验室以及德国联邦地质科学院等，发表论文30余篇。
