      Joann M. Stock，地质与地球物理学教授，第三次南海大洋钻探IODP 367航次美方首席科学家。1988年获得麻省理工学院地质与地球物理学博士，1998年至今工作于加州理工学院地震实验室。研究领域涉及全球和区域大地构造研究、板块边界演化相关的地球物理野外考察等，在太平洋北美板块边界的加利福尼亚湾和索尔顿海槽的构造研究等方面颇有建树。曾发表检索文章上百篇，2003年发表在 EPSL 杂志上的Three distinct types of hotspots in the Earth’s mantle被引用九百多次。
