报告题目：Thermodynamic and kinetics of mineral carbonation to store CO2 using mafic/ultramafic rocks （基性/超基岩中CO2封存的热力学和动力学研究）

Dr. Zhengrong Wang is currently an assistant Professor in the Department of Geology and Geophysics at Yale University. He had his Ph.D. at Caltech in 2005. He then obtained post-doc fellowship in Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) before he went to Yale in 2007. He is an isotope geochemist with a broad research interests which include developing geochemical proxies using metal isotopes and trace element ratios to study paleo-climate, mantle geochemistry, subduction processes, ocean chemistry, and carbon sequestration and storage. In the past five years, he spent a lot of experimental and theoretical efforts to understand the thermodynamics and kinetics of mineral carbonation reactions in mafic/ultramafic rocks.
