Three ridge-related research projects have just been announced for 2014:
1. Exploring the relationship between melt production, effective spreading rate and mid-ocean ridge tectonics.
2. 2. 3D X-Ray imaging of flow structures in geological materials
3. 3. Using olivine-spinel geothermometres to determine magmatic temperature variations in MORB from different geotectonic settings.
These projects are supervised by Dr Bramley Murton and colleagues in the Marine Geology Group, and have up to 100% funding for UK students. Non-UK students can apply for scholarships.
